ABOUT ROBIN HOOD ANIMAL RESCUE
Bob Spangler started Robin Hood Animal Rescue in March 2004. After working with several rescue/adoption groups over the previous few years and being told that he could not pick dogs up off the street or that there were certain breeds he could not rescue from the Animal Care and Control Center (The Pound), Bob decided to start an animal rescue dedicated to helping all animals in need—regardless of breed or situation. Along with Shellie, the self appointed administrator and chief foster mom, they have been rescuing dogs and cats whenever and wherever they can.
For better or worse, they don't first evaluate when they rescue a dog or cat. That means that they have pets who might need a bit more understanding, patience and love.
They believe that there is someone for each of their rescues. Sometimes, they have to wait more than a couple of months or even years before that special person shows up. In the meantime, they love them as their own.
At times they wonder if they should continue with their work. And each time they ask that, they know in their hearts they have to. There are so many out there who need help to live a good life and to be loved as they should.
